STS Protect Terms & Conditions

Optional device service and protection program offered by STS Repair Memphis.

STS Protect Terms — Version 2.0 Effective 9/29/2026

Important

STS Protect is an optional device service and protection program, not insurance. It covers qualifying accidental damage to an enrolled device according to these Terms. The separate STS 1-Year Repair Warranty covers qualifying defects in the repaired part and workmanship and does not cover new accidental damage. This is the current published version of the STS Protect Terms & Conditions.

Coverage Summary

STS Protect is an optional, non-insurance device repair-benefit program offered by STS Repair Memphis for enrolled smartphones and iPads. Coverage, pricing, service fees, benefit limits, claim-count limits, waiting periods and eligibility rules are set per device category. Coverage economics are snapshotted at activation; the STS Protect Benefit is a capped repair benefit (not cash or replacement value); repair cost beyond the available benefit requires customer authorization.

STS Protect Terms & Conditions

Version: 2.0 | Provider: STS Repair Memphis

1. Program Name and Nature

STS Protect is an optional, paid device repair and service-protection program from STS Repair Memphis ("STS") for accidental damage from handling to enrolled devices. STS Protect is not insurance. It is not underwritten or regulated as insurance, provides no insurance coverage, and is not regulator-approved. It provides no lost-device, stolen-device, cash or guaranteed replacement value unless added by written amendment.

2. Warranty Separation and Contract Documents

STS Protect is separate from the STS 1-Year Repair Warranty; buying it does not expand, extend, replace or modify that warranty. Your agreement consists of the Terms version you accepted, your Coverage Summary, the applicable plan information and your Coverage Confirmation.

3. One Program, Two Device Categories

STS Protect is one program offering device-category-specific coverage. Coverage, pricing, service fees, benefit limits, claim-count limits, waiting periods and eligibility rules are set separately per category. Two categories are offered: Smartphones (Section 4) and iPads (Section 5). Each device belongs to exactly one category and coverage never crosses categories: a smartphone plan is not an iPad plan.

4. Smartphone Coverage and Pricing

Three plans. Your Coverage Summary states your price, per-claim service fees, billing interval and waiting period, and those disclosures control those amounts.

| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Max benefit per claim | Rolling 12-month cap | Claims / 12 months | Waiting period | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Standard | $9.99 | $99 | $400 | $800 | 2 | 7 days | | Plus | $12.99 | $129 | $600 | $1,200 | 2 | 7 days | | Premium | $16.99 | $169 | $900 | $1,800 | 2 | 7 days |

Smartphone plans keep their Standard, Plus and Premium names and are not converted into iPad protection groups.

5. iPad Coverage and Pricing

Eight protection groups. Your Coverage Summary states the group that applies to your device.

| Protection group | Monthly | Annual | Max benefit per claim | Rolling 12-month cap | Claims / 12 months | Waiting period | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | iPad 9 | $11.99 | $129.99 | $400 | $800 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad 10 / iPad 11 | $12.99 | $139.99 | $450 | $900 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Air 4 / Air 5 | $17.99 | $194.99 | $550 | $1,100 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Air 11-inch | $17.99 | $194.99 | $550 | $1,100 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Air 13-inch | $21.99 | $239.99 | $650 | $1,300 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 1-2) | $19.99 | $219.99 | $700 | $1,400 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 3-4) | $21.99 | $239.99 | $700 | $1,400 | 2 | 30 days | | iPad Pro 11-inch (OLED) | $29.99 | $329.99 | $900 | $1,800 | 2 | 30 days |

Covered classifications depend on the model and its display construction.

6. Benefit Limits Explained

Three separate limitations apply to every plan: maximum benefit per claim (the most STS Protect may apply to one approved claim); rolling 12-month benefit cap (the most cumulative benefit available for the device in that period); and claim-count limit (at most two approved claims per rolling 12-month period). These are separate: claim-count availability does not mean benefit dollars remain beyond the rolling cap, and remaining benefit dollars do not permit extra claims.

7. Waiting Periods

Smartphones: seven (7) days from activation. iPads: thirty (30) days from the applicable coverage/activation date. Damage during, or attributable to, a waiting period is not eligible. For iPads, paying a subscription, or holding an active billing subscription, does not by itself make the device immediately claim-eligible: payment establishes billing, not immediate accidental-damage eligibility.

8. Eligibility, Enrollment and Inspection

Coverage applies only to an approved enrolled device; enrollment is not guaranteed. Eligibility shown on the website or in the app is an indication only and does not constitute final approval. STS may restrict a device to a specific plan or protection group, and a customer cannot override the approved assignment.

An iPad must pass STS inspection and qualification before activation. Qualification may include: model, serial and identifier verification; power-on and functionality; display and touch; battery and charging; cameras, buttons, speaker and microphone; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; housing; liquid and corrosion indicators; board-level symptoms; Activation Lock status; biometrics where equipped; and photographs. STS may refuse enrollment when a device cannot be adequately inspected or does not meet program requirements.

9. Device Identification, Ownership and Activation Lock

Coverage is tied to the specific enrolled device, identified by serial number, IMEI where applicable, and/or the STS-issued Protection ID (for example STSPROT-000123). It does not automatically transfer to another device, and altered, removed, fraudulent or unverifiable identifiers may make a claim or device ineligible.

The device must be capable of being legitimately serviced; Activation Lock must be cleared as required for qualification or service. Enrollment does not establish or transfer ownership of a device.

10. Biometric Functionality

Where an eligible device has Touch ID or Face ID, biometric functionality may be part of qualification, and pre-existing biometric failure may result in refusal of enrollment. Coverage does not guarantee restoration of biometric functionality where repair limitations, paired components, manufacturer restrictions or unrelated damage prevent it.

11. Covered Accidental Damage

Coverage applies only when STS determines an incident qualifies. Smartphone categories: Screen Damage; Back Glass Damage; Liquid Damage; Charging Port Damage; Camera Damage; Other Accidental Damage. iPad categories: Front Glass / Digitizer; LCD Damage; Digitizer + LCD; Laminated Display Assembly; OLED Display Assembly; Liquid Damage; Charging Port Damage; Camera Damage; Other Accidental Damage.

12. iPad Display Classifications

STS Protect does not use one generic "screen damage" classification for iPads. iPad display claims are classified by the enrolled model and the affected component: Front Glass / Digitizer, LCD Damage, Digitizer + LCD, Laminated Display Assembly, and OLED Display Assembly. Not every classification applies to every model.

For split-display models such as iPad 9, iPad 10 and iPad 11, the front glass and digitizer may be separate from the LCD: damaged glass or digitizer alone is not automatically LCD damage, and where both the digitizer/front glass and the LCD require covered repair the claim may be classified as Digitizer + LCD. For applicable iPad Air and iPad Pro models, display construction may require replacement of a Laminated Display Assembly, and OLED-equipped models use the OLED Display Assembly classification.

13. iPad Display Service Fees

| Protection group | Front Glass / Digitizer | LCD Damage | Digitizer + LCD | Laminated Display Assembly | OLED Display Assembly | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | iPad 9 | $39 | $69 | $89 | — | — | | iPad 10 / iPad 11 | $49 | $79 | $99 | — | — | | iPad Air 4 / Air 5 | — | — | — | $109 | — | | iPad Air 11-inch | — | — | — | $109 | — | | iPad Air 13-inch | — | — | — | $149 | — | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 1-2) | — | — | — | $119 | — | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 3-4) | — | — | — | $139 | — | | iPad Pro 11-inch (OLED) | — | — | — | — | $249 |

14. Other iPad Service Fees

| Protection group | Charging Port | Camera | Liquid | Other Accidental | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | iPad 9 | $69 | $69 | $179 | $109 | | iPad 10 / iPad 11 | $69 | $69 | $189 | $119 | | iPad Air 4 / Air 5 | $79 | $79 | $199 | $129 | | iPad Air 11-inch | $79 | $79 | $199 | $129 | | iPad Air 13-inch | $89 | $89 | $229 | $159 | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 1-2) | $79 | $79 | $219 | $139 | | iPad Pro 11-inch (LCD, Gen 3-4) | $89 | $89 | $229 | $149 | | iPad Pro 11-inch (OLED) | $99 | $99 | $299 | $199 |

15. Smartphone Service Fees

Each approved smartphone claim requires the applicable service fee before covered repair begins, unless STS authorizes otherwise. The fee depends on your plan and damage category and is shown in your Coverage Summary and the claim payment screens. The smartphone service-fee structure is unchanged.

16. Coverage Start

Coverage becomes effective only after eligibility is satisfied, qualification and inspection are passed, required payment succeeds, required Terms acceptance is recorded, and any waiting period is satisfied.

17. The STS Protect Benefit

The "STS Protect Benefit" is the repair benefit STS applies toward an approved qualifying covered repair, subject to your plan limits. It is not cash payable to you, a guaranteed payout, store credit, a device replacement value, or the market value of your device, and unused benefit has no cash or credit value.

18. Service-Fee and Benefit Accounting

For an approved claim: (a) you pay the service fee for the damage classification; (b) STS determines the covered repair amount; (c) the STS Protect Benefit equals the lesser of (covered repair amount minus service fee), your maximum benefit per claim, and your remaining rolling 12-month benefit; and (d) any amount beyond the available benefit is your responsibility ("customer excess"). The service fee is separate from the subscription price, the benefit caps and the claim-count limit: paying it does not waive those limits or increase your available benefit.

19. Excess Repair Cost

If an approved repair exceeds the available STS Protect Benefit, STS will inform you of the additional amount you will personally owe before performing work requiring that payment, and your authorization is required before STS charges any uncovered excess. You remain responsible for the service fee already paid.

20. Claim Limits and Benefit Limits

Each plan allows up to two (2) qualifying claims per rolling 12-month period, counting qualifying claims (not draft, cancelled or denied) submitted in the prior 365 days. Each plan also has a maximum benefit per claim and a maximum aggregate benefit per rolling 12-month period (Sections 4, 5 and 6). A claim cannot require benefits beyond those limits; any excess is handled under Section 19.

21. Repair Process and Availability

After claim approval and service-fee payment, STS finalizes the benefit and may create a Repair Order; the normal STS repair workflow then applies. Coverage does not guarantee immediate part availability, a specific completion date, availability of original-equipment-manufacturer parts, or that every damaged device can be repaired. Repair times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

22. Liquid Damage Limitation

Qualifying liquid-damage coverage does not guarantee a successful repair, motherboard or logic-board restoration, recovery of stored data, or that the device will be economically or technically repairable.

23. Data

STS Protect is a repair program, not a data-recovery guarantee, and covers physical repair benefits, not the value of customer data. STS does not guarantee preservation or recovery of data through a claim; data recovery is not included unless separately authorized in writing.

24. Pre-Existing Damage

STS Protect does not cover pre-existing damage or conditions existing before qualification and coverage. Enrolling an already-damaged device in order to claim for that damage later is not permitted.

25. Device-Specific Coverage

Coverage applies only to the enrolled device associated with the approved identifier and serial information. It is not automatically transferable to another device, including a replacement iPad of the same model. A replacement device supplied by a manufacturer or carrier must be reviewed by STS for continued eligibility, and updated enrollment information may be required.

26. Coverage Snapshot

The coverage configuration applicable to an enrolled device may be recorded and snapshotted at activation, including its damage classifications, service fees, benefit limits, claim-count limit and waiting period, and may remain governed by that snapshot rather than later plan changes. STS will not silently rewrite your existing economic terms.

27. Exclusions

Not covered: pre-existing damage; intentional damage; fraud or misrepresentation; cosmetic-only damage not materially affecting function; lost devices; stolen devices; data loss; software or data recovery unless separately authorized; unauthorized modification or tampering; altered, removed or unverifiable serial number or IMEI; damage before coverage, during a waiting period, or after coverage ends; damage to a non-enrolled device; accessories unless specifically included; routine maintenance unless specifically included; damage inconsistent with the reported incident; catastrophic destruction or a device beyond reasonable repair; commercial or resale abuse; and repeated intentional program abuse.

28. Catastrophic Damage

"Catastrophic destruction / device beyond reasonable repair" means, for example: the device cannot reasonably or safely be repaired; essential components are destroyed or missing; device identity cannot be verified; repair is technically infeasible; or damage is so extensive that repair cannot reasonably be performed through STS Protect. A high repair cost alone does not automatically equal catastrophic damage.

29. Claim Process, Review and Classification

Submit claims with the damage classification, incident date, incident description, photographs, and any additional information STS requests. STS may inspect the device, approve qualifying claims, deny non-qualifying claims, and determine whether damage falls within covered categories or exclusions; decisions are not unlimited or arbitrary. Only one open claim may be active for a device at a time.

STS determines the final claim classification from inspection and diagnosis; a customer-selected category does not bind STS where diagnosis establishes a different covered category. Before approval, authorized STS personnel may reclassify a claim to the correct covered classification using the applicable snapshotted service fee, and the service fee is never entered by hand.

30. Incident Date

The incident must occur while eligible coverage is active: the incident date must not precede coverage start, fall within an uncovered waiting period, or occur after coverage expires.

31. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate enrollment and incident information; present the device for inspection when requested; maintain a valid payment method; pay charges and service fees timely; back up data; not cause intentional damage; not file fraudulent claims; not manipulate identifiers; and cooperate with claim review.

32. Program Fraud

Material fraud, intentionally false statements, altered identifiers, fabricated incidents, or intentional damage presented as accidental damage may result in claim denial, termination where permitted, loss of future enrollment eligibility, and other lawful remedies.

33. Billing and Failed Payments

Plans renew monthly or annually unless cancelled under Section 34. Subscription billing does not override eligibility, inspection, waiting periods, exclusions, service fees or benefit limits. If a renewal payment fails, protection may enter Past Due status and new claims are blocked while Past Due. If payment later succeeds and the subscription returns to Active, eligible protection may resume; STS does not promise indefinite grace coverage. If payment remains unpaid and the subscription terminates, coverage may expire or cancel per the paid-through period.

34. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel automatic renewal anytime via your account or by contacting STS. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not immediately terminate already-paid coverage: it remains effective through your paid-through date unless another valid termination provision applies. Exceptional subscription refunds are discretionary administrative decisions where permitted and must be documented; STS does not promise an exception will be approved. Service-fee refunds become restricted once repair work begins, and completed repairs do not ordinarily qualify for one. No refund exceeds the original payment.

35. No Consequential Cash Value

STS Protect does not create entitlement to cash payment equal to the benefit limit, the cash value of unrepaired damage, the retail value of the device, a replacement device, an upgrade, or a loaner device, unless STS expressly authorizes such a benefit in writing.

36. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, STS's obligations under STS Protect are limited to the benefits expressly provided by your applicable coverage, and STS is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses such as loss of use, lost profits, lost data, or replacement-device rental.

37. Electronic Communications

You agree STS may send STS Protect communications electronically, including enrollment, inspection, coverage, billing, claim, service-fee and repair notices, and cancellation confirmation. This does not consent to unrelated marketing.

38. Changes to STS Protect

STS may change these Terms prospectively. STS does not silently retroactively rewrite accepted coverage, and a previously accepted version remains available for audit.

39. Existing Customers and Previous Versions

Customers who accepted an earlier version remain associated with the version they accepted. New enrollments submitted after a new version becomes current must accept that current version. All future iPad enrollments must accept Version 2.0 or a later applicable version, and an acceptance of Version 1.0 does not satisfy the terms requirement for an iPad enrollment.

40. Program Availability

STS may pause new enrollment or new claims where operationally necessary (subject to existing obligations and applicable law), change future plan availability, restrict future eligibility, or discontinue future sales.

41. Customer Acceptance

Before purchase, affirmative acceptance is required: "I have read and agree to the STS Protect Terms & Conditions." There is no prechecked checkbox. Acceptance is verified on the server before a protected checkout can proceed; a browser-side checkbox alone does not satisfy this requirement. STS records the accepted version, timestamp, customer, device or enrollment context, acceptance method and source, and preserves those records.

42. Governing Law, Disputes and Support

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you have a concern or dispute, contact STS Repair Memphis first so STS has an opportunity to resolve it; STS has not inserted mandatory arbitration, a jury waiver or a class-action waiver. Contact STS Repair Memphis for enrollment, claims, billing or cancellation: 4646 Poplar Avenue, Suite 108, Memphis, TN 38117; (901) 767-3356; or in-app through your STS Protect account.

43. Coverage Summary Precedence

Your Coverage Summary provides plan-specific information; these Terms provide program rules.
